One of Birmingham’s newest additions to Grand Central Station, Holy Moly Macaroni, commissioned the SLLFX team on a special installation project; a 100-volt line background music system into the Holy Moly Macaroni venue.
Having opened its doors in September 2015, Grand Central Station and the famous Bullring shopping centre is now home to over 200 shops and eateries featuring some of the most widely known brands globally. Calvin Klein, Barbour and All Saints are just some of the names taking units in this exciting retail destination currently.
Holy Moly Macaroni offers a fresh dining experience for its customers to feast upon its delicious range of home cooked mac and cheese dishes. The installation we worked on consisted of 8 Apart MASK6CT speakers which were wired to an MA240 100v mixer amp.
Using the Apart MASKC series for ease of installation meant that the team completed the work within one day which worked perfectly in line with the grand opening. The Apart system was not only chosen for ease of installation but its excellent intelligibility. The speakers are directly linked into the fire system via the amp which in the case of an emergency automatically cuts out music and plays any evacuation system messages. These features have been specially designed to fit within the regulations of a mainstream shopping centre, offering both a practical and considered solution to the client.
